Wenona Hadingham is an experienced energy professional, having spent over a decade of her career in the sector. As Director - Planning and Coordination at Energy Policy WA, Wenona oversees the group’s work around decarbonisation and modernisation in Western Australia's main electricity grid, the South West Interconnected System (SWIS).
In this role Wenona heads the PoweringWA team, which has been established to oversee the coordination and regulation of the new electricity infrastructure and renewable energy projects essential to decarbonising the SWIS. This work is critical to meeting the State Government’s target of net zero emissions by 2050.
Prior to joining Energy Policy WA, Wenona spent 12 years at the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, advising the Government on high-profile policy issues. With a background in economics, she has held a variety of roles across the private sector, as well as in both Commonwealth and State Government.
